Wednesday, December 16, 2009 Mr. Scott Allen McDougle, Sr., age 44 of 457 Campbell Road S.E. Calhoun, died Tuesday Dec. 15th. in the Cartersville Medical Center following several months of declining health. Scott was born in Gordon County on June 4, 1965 son of the late Rayburn Houston McDougle and Arlene Towers Brandon who survives him. Scott was a member of the Barrett Rd. Church of God and was employed in the Textile industry. In addition to his father Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Beulah McDougle and Matt and Mae Towers. Survivors in addition to his mother include a son Scott Allen McDougle, II of Calhoun, his step-mother; Sue McDougle of Adairsville, one sister; Sherrie Sellers and her husband Ray of Resaca, grandchildren; Leia McDougle, and Jayden Allen McDougle along with several step-brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday from the Barrett Road Church of God with Rev. Norris Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10: 00 until 11:00 on Saturday. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Blewer Food Bank or the Salvation Army.
