Sarah Lummie Reed

Sarah Lummie Reed, age 84 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, March 3^rd at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Sarah was born on March 20, 1938, in Marshall, Alabama to the late Henry Parker and Maggie Newby Parker. She was a devoted member of Shannon Church of God. In addition of her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reed; seven brothers; a sister; and three children, Kathy Reed, Dennis Reed, and Mary Elizabeth Chappell.

She is survived by two daughters, Joy Jarrett of Calhoun, and Barbara Dodd of Summerville; nine grandchildren; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 7^th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Eugene Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6^th at Thomas Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM.
