Ruth Callaway Page, age 92, of Resaca, passed away Tuesday morning July 4th in Gordon Health Care.
Ruth was born April 24, 1925 in Gordon County, daughter of the late John Carden and Lonie Ingle Carden. She was a member of the Sugar Valley Church of God and had worked in the textile industry prior to her retirement.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harden Callaway and her second husband, Lee Edward Page; two grandchildren, Pamela Richmond and Jerome Wofford; one great-grandchild, Mehry Morehead, as well as six sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Inez Morehead and her husband Jack of Resaca, Jeanette Wofford of Calhoun and Jane Richmond and her husband Cecil of Resaca. Eight grandchildren, Marty Morehead, Tony Morehead, Daren Richmond, Danny Richmond, Brian Richmond, Greg Richmond, Karen Bozeman, and Jay Wofford; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Bozeman, Bristol Wofford, Addison Morehead, Braley Morehead, and Kenley Morehead also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday July 6th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Shadix and Chaplain Terry Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
