Ruth Janet Ellis Lunsford

Ruth Janet Ellis Lunsford, age 91 of Calhoun, GA and formerly of Marietta, GA, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at AdventHealth Redmond.

Janet was born on March 26, 1930 in Atlanta, GA, daughter of the late Glenn Allan Ellis and Ruth Pressley Ellis. In addition to her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by: her husband, Fred Wesley Lunsford; and three sisters, June Lunsford, Joyce Fant, and Joanne Fitzpatrick; and grandson, John Paul Lowen.

Janet was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA. She was a homemaker, loving mother and granny.

Janet is survived by her 5 children, Wesley (Charla) Lunsford, JR, Allan Lunsford, Sherri (Bill) Woodyard, Mark Lunsford, and Jan Lowen; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church at 4495 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
