Russell S. Hendrix

Russell S. Hendrix, age 54 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Gulfport, Mississippi.

Russell was born on May 24, 1966 in Calhoun, GA, son of the late Truman “Red” Hendrix and Opal Silvers Hendrix. In addition to his parents, Russell was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Hendrix. Russell was employed by Circle P Trucking as a truck driver.

Russell is survived by: one son, Renith “Reno”Hendrix ;wife, Lee Hendrix; step-son, Michael Holtzclaw; two step-daughters, Sara Wingate and Cass Humphries; and additional family and friends also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 5 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Long officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 3 PM until the service hour at 5 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Renith Hendrix to defer final expenses.
