Ruby Jewell Sluder Postell

Monday, March 02, 2009 Mrs. Ruby Jewell Sluder Postell, age 72 of Dalton, died Sunday evening March 1st in Hamilton Medical Center. Ruby was born in Bartow County December 26, 1936. Daughter of the late Sidney Cornelius and Ruby Lou Martin Sluder. She was a homemaker and had spent most of her life in Whitfield County. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Lloyd Thomas Sluder and a nephew, Ryan Avery Mosteller. She is survived by her son; Daniel Carl Postell and his wife Joyce Ann of Dalton. One daughter; Linda Kay Postell Atkins and her husband Anthony of Tunnel Hill. Two sisters; Frances Gilliland and Shirley Mosteller both of Rocky Face. Four grandchildren; Daniel Carl Postell, Jr., Derek James Postell, Jason Atkins and Eric Atkins and one great-grandchild; Anna Atkins. Funeral services will conducted Wednesday March 4th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Maynard Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers severing include; Daniel Postell, Eric Atkins, Derek Postell, Jason Atkins, David Gilliland and Tommy Davenport. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7pm.
