Ruby Inez Moorehead

Ruby Inez Moorehead, age 81 of Resaca, GA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Inez was born on February 18, 1941 in Gordon County, GA to the late Harden Callaway and Ruth Page. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her sister, Jeanette (Jerry) Wofford; and granddaughter, Mehry Moorehead. Inez loved to bowl and was an avid bird watcher, gardener, and reader.

Inez is survived by: her husband of 59 years Jack Moorehead; two sons, Marty Moorehead of Calhoun, GA and Tony (Felicia) Moorehead of Georgetown, TN; one sister, Jane (Cecil) Richmond of Resaca, GA; and three grandchildren, Braley Moorehead, Addison Moorehead, and Kinley Moorehead to whom she was affectionately known as “Nanny,” and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 4 PM until 6 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 6 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with her sons, Marty Moorehead and Tony Moorehead officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Inez may be made to the charity of your choice.
