Roy Lee Richardson

Roy Lee Richardson, JR, age 77 of Adairsville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at his residence.

Roy was born on March 26, 1945 in Yukon, West Virginia, son of the late Roy Lee Richardson, SR and Bernice Smith Richardson. In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by one sister, Norma Richardson Chase. Roy was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of New Town Baptist Church where he had served as a member on the Board of Deacons. Roy was retired from the Adairsville Post Office.

Roy is survived by: his wife, Dorothy Delp Richardson of Adairsville, GA; one daughter, Monica Richardson of Marietta, GA; one brother, Greg Richardson of Merit Island, FL; and one sister, Phyllis King of Calhoun, GA. Roy was also blessed to have many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2 PM at New Town Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Crider officiating. Jeff Roger will have charge of music. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving will be Deacons of New Town Baptist Church.

Honorary Pallbearers will be New Town Senior Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 2 PM at New Town Baptist Church.
