Roy Herndon

Roy Herndon, Jr, age 52 of Calhoun, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his residence. Roy was born on July 11, 1966 in Louisiana to the late Roy Leon Herndon, Sr. and Linda Kent Herndon. He was employed by Trinseo as an industrial maintenance technician. Roy enjoyed cooking, playing guitar and singing, he loved playing trivia games, but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jordan Herndon; two sons, Michael Herndon and his wife Carol, and Matt Herndon and his fiancé Heather Brown; two brothers, Bill Swan and his wife Missy, and Bobby Wyndham and his wife Amber; and three sisters, Julie Meshell, Dorthy Smith and her husband Jerry, and Claudine Tuck and her husband Thomas. Roy was much loved by his wife's family: brother-in-law, Bobby Parks; sisters-in-law, Thea Lacobee and Joe, Julia Offutt and her husband John; last but not least Yvonne Cole as well as nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 6 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Erwin officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 4 PM until the funeral hour of 6 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
