Ronald Wayne Morcom

Monday, July 14, 2008 Mr. Ron Morcom age 52 of Calhoun, died Saturday July 12th. in Hamilton Medical following an unexpected illness. Ron was born in Detroit Michigan on May 15, 1956 son of the late Clarence and Vivian Cox Morcom. He had been a resident of Gordon County for the past 9 years and was an electrician with Fox Systems Inc. In addition to his parents, a brother Larry Morcom preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Megan Spivey Morcom of Calhoun, two daughters; Melissa and Megan Morcom both of Michigan, one stepdaughter; India Pass of Calhoun, one brother; Tom Morcom of Washington State. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 17 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Brock officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Resaca. Pallbearers serving include James Stanfield, Bo Allen, Joseph Allen, Brad Lewis, Keith Haygood, and Kevin Parker. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 PM Thursday.
