Mrs. Ropchelle Carolyn Hudgins, age 69 of 233 Main St., Calhoun, died Saturday November 22 in Gordon Hospital.
Mrs. Hudgins was born in Lexington, Ky on May 6, 1939 daughter of the late Roy Elmer and Herma Louise Watts Elliott. She was a Machine Operator at Mannington Carpet and a member of the Tabenacle Baptist Church of Resaca . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John M. Hudgins.
She is survived by , four sons; Phillip Ridge of Ga, Bill Ridge of Independence, Mo, Darren Hudgins and his wife Cindy of Calhoun and John Hudgins of Independence Mo, a step-daughter; Sherry Gibson and her husband Charles of Adairsville, three brothers; Roy Elliott of Tn., Wayne Elliott of Detroit, Mi, and Jack Elliott of Ky, sister; Shelba Durow of Calhoun and beloved friend; Carol Stewart of Calhoun. Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday November 24th from the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Brother Wayne Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include Armin Martin, Paul Dove, Mark Brewer, Travis Brumball, Jay Daniel and Clyde Kilburn and they are asked to meet at the Church at 1:45 P.M. on Monday.
The body of Mrs Hudgins will be carried to the Tabernacle Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. Sunday to lie instate until the funeral hour.
