Robert Terry Pelfrey, 59, of Plainville, died Friday evening January 23rd at Gordon Hospital.
Terry was born July 18, 1955 in Gordon County, son of the late Robert Horace Pelfrey and Geneva King Pelfrey. He was a member of First Christian Church of Adairsville and was previously employed by Mohawk Industries. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Darnell.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Nesbitt Pelfrey of Plainville, two brothers, Chris Pelfrey of Calhoun and Nick Pelfrey and his wife Ketrina of Calhoun, four brothers in laws, Henry Nesbitt, Scott Nesbitt and his wife Cindy, Jim Nesbitt and Joe Nesbitt all of Calhoun, one sister, Deborah Pelfrey of Calhoun, sister in law, Leesa and Johnny Cardin of Calhoun, seven nieces and nephews, Crystal Wyatt, Robert Pelfrey and his wife Chastity, Hailey Kraut and her husband Ron, Brandy Pelfrey, Daniel Nesbitt, Kyle Chappell and Megan Nesbitt. Seven great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday January 26th at 2pm from the First Christian Church of Adairsville with Rev. Danny Pelfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Plainville at Scott Cemetery.
Terry will lie in state Monday January 26th from 1 until 2pm at the church. Pallbearers are Bryce, Stanley, and Lawayne Pelfrey, Alex Wright, Kevin Sutton, Michael Garland, Lenny and Russell Holbert. They are asked to meet at the church at 12:45 PM.
