Robert "Jeff" Jones

Robert “Jeff” Jones, age 73 of Sugar Valley, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. Jeff was born on April 7, 1942 in Atlanta, GA to the late Clifford Henry Jones and Laura Elizabeth Veal Collins. Jeff was a member of the Sugar Valley Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement worked for Fox and Brindle for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Buddy Jones. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bronzelle Jones of Sugar Valley; daughter, Kimberly Young and her husband David of Calhoun; four sons, Jeff, Jones, JR and his wife Shelia of Calhoun, Keith Jones and his wife Tammy of Calhoun, Cliff Jones of Resaca and Mike Jones and his wife Haley of Calhoun; four sisters, Barbara Ware and her husband Larry of Twin Falls, ID, Judy Long of AZ, Terry Higggins and her husband Bob of CA and Katie Jones of AZ; five half-sisters, Carolyn Jones, Tammy Jones Perry, Brenda Jones, Laura Sue Jones Bryant and Debra “Deah” Jones Grant; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, May 24th at 2:00 PM from the Sugar Valley Baptist Church with the Reverend Mitch Phillips and Dr. William Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Sons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Sugar Valley Baptist Church.
