Robert Gordon Fleischmann

Wednesday, July 23, 2008 Mr. Robert Gordon Fleischmann age 86 of 104 West Lane S.E., Calhoun died Monday evening in Cartersville following an extended illness. Robert was born in New York City on January 18, 1922 son of the late Max Fleischmann Sr. and Olive Grace Windus Fleischmann. He was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church, was retired from the Food Service Industry as a Director , working in Schools and Hospitals for 23 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Marines. He is survived by his wife Florence Fleischmann of Calhoun, two sons; John Wade Fleischmann of Calhoun and Michael Fleischmann of Ooltewah, Tn., one daughter; Mary A. Boddy and he husband Mark of Macon, Ga., one brother; Max (Jr) Fleischmann of Ooltewah, Tennessee , and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 A.M. Monday July 28th. at the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church with Rev. Phil White officiating and Michael Fleischmann giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11:30 A.M. Monday with full military rites. Pallbearers serving as pallbearers and include John, Michael, and Michael Fleischmann Jr, Matthew Boddy, Charles Fleischmann and Mark Boddy and they are asked to meet at the Church at 8:45 A.M. Monday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday evening July 27th.
