Robbie Sue Young

Robbie Sue Young, age 71 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at her residence. Robbie was born on November 17, 1945 in Birmingham, AL to the late John Robert Stewart and Adelle Joy Abel Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Young; and sister, Wanda Joy Stewart. Robbie was a member of West Union Baptist Church, and prior to retirement was employed by Fafnir Bearing. Robbie is survived by her son, Greg Stewart and his wife Sue of Lyerly; two daughters, Robin Treadaway and her husband Mitchell of Calhoun, and Mandee Harbin and her husband Tenn of Calhoun; sister, Nancy Cook and her husband George of Calhoun; eight grandchildren, Ashtyn Harbin, Izzy Harbin, Austin Treadaway, Garrett Stewart, Chadd Stewart, Nicole Carter, Sierra Barker, and Chris Miller; niece, Tracie Bailey; and nephew, Kenny Douglas. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 22nd at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Garry Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are George Cook, Lamar Hicks, Garrett Stewart, Jerry Carter, David Stephens, and Chris Miller.
