Thursday, August 17, 2006 ROBBIE W. FOWLER, AGE 91, OF THE RESACA COMMUNITY, DIED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AT CALHOUN HEALTH CARE.
ROBBIE WAS BORN IN CATOOSA COUNTY ON MARCH 17, 1915, DAUGHTER OF THE LATE M.M. AND IDA MAE BECK WILBANKS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE RESACA CHURCH OF CHRIST AND WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER BROTHER, GEORGE W. WILBANKS, TWO SISTERS; MEDALYN ALLEN AND DAISY BELL WILBANKS, AND A DAUGHTER, BETTY JEAN FOWLER.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY FOUR SONS, JIMMIE LEE FOWLER OF McDONOUGH, GERALD ZANE FOWLER OF CANTON, LARRY MED FOWLER OF ADAIRSVILLE, AND W. RICHARD FOWLER OF RESACA. ONE DAUGHTER, BOBBYE F. HARRIS OF CALHOUN. FOUR SISTERS, ANN CHAFFEE OF WAYNESVILLE, N.C., DEBBIE BROWN OF DALTON, BERTHA RUSSELL OF AUSTELL, AND BETTE PAYNE OF DALTON. TEN GRANCHILDREN AND TWENTY-FOUR GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN ALSO SURVIVE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED FRIDAY AT 2PM FROM THE CHAPEL OF THOMAS FUNERAL HOME. WITH MINISTER JERRY SMITH AND JULE MEDDERS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN DAMACUS BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY.
