Roanna Davis Day

Roanna Davis Day, age 72 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her residence.

Roanna was born on April 15, 1951 in Gordon County, GA, daughter of the late John Oscar Davis and Syble Redwine Davis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Davis. She was a life-long resident of Gordon County and graduated from Calhoun High School. After high school Roanna graduated from Shorter College with her Bachelor’s Degree in education. She then took a job as an educator with Calhoun City Schools where she retired after 29 years of teaching. Roanna was a born again Christian Lady. She was a lifelong member of Hill City Baptist Church where she served as music director, playing both the piano and organ, and also taught Sunday School and Bible School. Roanna and her husband, Michael managed Raintree Tack where she made many many friends.

Roanna is survived by her loving husband of 33 short years, Michael Day; brother, Paul Davis and his wife Susie.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11 AM in Hill City Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Kenny Rogers in charge of graveside rites.

Pallbearers serving include: Travis Holsomback, Scott Bone, Joey Potts, Rick Rayburn, Justin Rayburn, and Cody Rayburn.

In lieu of flowers the family request in memory of Roanna donations be made to Gideons International.
