Rita F. Powers

Rita F. Powers, age 50 of the Sonoraville Community, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her residence. Rita was born on September 11, 1962 in Whitfield County. She was the daughter of the late Coleman Fredrick Pfeiffer and Syble Jane Ellison Pfeiffer. Also, she was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Pfeiffer Ezwell. Rita attended the White Graves Baptist Church and was a former resident of Dalton. She had lived in Gordon County since age eighteen. Survivors include: her husband, Robert B. Powers, II of the Sonoraville Community; one son, Coleman Powers of the Sonoraville Community; one daughter, Tabatha Box and her husband Sam of Canton; one grandson, Xavier Box of Canton; mother-in-law, Cathy Harrison and her husband Lamar of Calhoun; father-in-law, Robert B. Powers, Sr. of the Sonoraville Community; one brother, Dodie Ellison of Whitfield County; four sisters, Connie Eaker of Summerville, Donna O’Bryant of Whitfield County, Fredia Pfeiffer of Dalton and Sherri Patterson of Kentucky also survive.
