Rita Carol Lowe

Monday, July 28, 2008 Ms. Rita Carol Lowe age 64 of 327 Beamer Circle S.W., Calhoun, died Sunday July 27th. at her residence following a brief illness. Rita was born in Calhoun on Oct. 11, 1943 daughter of the late Joseph Paul Davis and Ida Faye Brown Overton who survives her. She had been a lifelong resident of Calhoun and Gordon County and worked for Astro Dye for over 25 years and was retired from Beallieu Carpet. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother; Harold L. Davis of Rome in 2007 and a niece Christy Evans. In addition to her mother she is survived by ; two daughters; Darla Fay Bardakjy of Atlanta and Terra Denine Ellis of Calhoun, her sister and brother-in-law; Paula Lynn and Huston Evans of Calhoun, two grandchildren; Anna Elise Ellis and Ethan Charles Ellis both of Calhoun and two nephews; Tyron and Seth Evans. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 30, 2008 from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Waits and Rev. Tyron Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chuck Ellis, Shane Hammond, Jerry Edwards, Reed Davis, Jody Coulter and Bobby Reeves and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at !0:45 A.M. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening July 29th. 2008.
