Rita Darlene Moore Dyer

Rita Darlene Moore Dyer, age 65 of Lafayette formally of Calhoun, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Erlanger Medical Center.

Rita was born on July 13, 1957, in Lafayette, GA to the late Virgil Moore and Annie Chandler Moore. She was a devoted member of Grace Church. Rita was previously employed by Shaw Industries as an operator. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Paul, Jimmy, Jackie, Buddy, Frankie, Pamela, and Zondra.

She is survived by four children, Darlene Arguello, Walter Dyer, Jr., Carrie Warner, and Timothy Dyer; special daughter-in-law, Nichole Dyer; special son-in-law, Robert Warner; fifteen grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Chris, Daelyn, Landon, Abbie, Colson, Summer, Alyssa, Jayden, Delia, Olivia, Savannah, Aiyanna, and Timothy; seven great-grandchildren, Colton, Everly, Kayden, Yuliza, Alaida, Nyla, and Jamilia; siblings, Mickey, Wanda, Sandy, Deloris, Audrey and Edna; special sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Sandra, Tammy, and Linda; brother-in-law, Floyd; father of her children, Walter Dyer Sr., special mother and father-in-law, Richard and Wanda Dyer.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 7^th  at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Fidele Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are as follows: Nathan Dyer, Robert Warner, Christopher Arguello, Timothy Dyer, Brandon Burkett, and Walter Dyer, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6^th from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
