Rickey Lynn Holden

Mr. Rickey Lynn Holden, age 68 of Resaca, passed away on Sunday, September 1st, 2024, at Advent Health Redmond. 

 Mr. Holden was born in Gordon County on May 31st, 1956, to the late Ernest C.H. Holden and the late Inez McCollum Holden. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Holden; one sister, JoAnn Pitts; one brother, Michael Holden. Mr. Holden was a retired truck driver. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed working on his tractor and old trucks. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family. 

 He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Patricia “Gail” Holden; one son, Wayne Holden (Kimberly); two daughters, Ann Holden (Robert Luallen) and Bonnie Holden; four grandchildren, Dell Dutton (Eli), Rena Holden, Rachel Holden, and Sarah Holden; two great-grandchildren, Rae and Josi Dutton; one brother, Larry Holden (Kathy); one sister, Patricia Brinson. 

 Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, at 1 PM in the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. 

 The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4th from 11 AM until 1 PM at the funeral home. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to help with the final expenses.
