Rex Allen Brown

Rex Allen Brown, age 41, of Calhoun, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 12th at Gordon Hospital, following a sudden attack. Rex was born December 28, 1972 in Harlan, Kentucky, son of Lewis and Louann Cooper Brown. He was employed by Hardee’s Restaurant for more than 20 years and was of the Holiness faith. Rex was preceded in death by his grandmother Roberta Brown. Survivors include his parents, Lewis and Louann Brown of Calhoun; grandfather, Willis Brown of Sugar Valley; three brothers, Scott Brown and his wife Linda of Calhoun, Larry brown of Plainville, and Jason Brown of Calhoun; five sisters, Laura Coots and her husband Ernest of Hickory, NC., Crystal Canchola and her husband Luis of Adairsville, Melissa Hendrix and her husband Paul of Bera, KY., Barbara Penson and her husband Les of LaFayette, and Ann Brown of Calhoun; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 16th at 11am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend. J.B. Ezell officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Garden. Pallbearers serving include Mark Waycaster, Kevin Brown, Joshua Brown, Derrick Brown, Michael Brown, James Miller, Randall Hendrix and Darrin Brown.
