Reverend James William Faith, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at his residence.
James was born on June 9, 1926 in Whitfield County, GA to the late Fred Faith and Grace Forrester Faith. James was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. He was a retired Baptist Minister, and ministered several churches in Gordon and Bartow County. He also retired from Lockheed Aircraft after 38 years of service. He loved working with wood and had crafted several violins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Reed; and brother, Charles Vernon Faith.
He is survived by his four daughters, Nancy Luckett of Calhoun, Sherry Chapman and her husband George of Lilburn, GA, Kathy Nielsen of Calhoun and Gina Daniel and her husband Alan of Calhoun; six grandchildren, Lee Chapman, Halie Black and her husband Tyron, James William Chapman and his wife Mandy, Rebekah Feuerbach and her husband Marc, Clay Daniel and Logan Daniel; seven great-grandchildren, Meri Kathryn Black, Claire Chapman, Jacob Black, Will Feuerbach, Abby Black, Leah Chapman and Addie Feuerbach; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 23rd at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Halie Black, Reverend Clinton Green and Reverend Brent Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Jacob Black and Will Feuerbach.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
