Mr. Armando C. “Max” Marchionda, age 94 of Calhoun, passed away on June 25, 2014 at Gordon Hospital.
He was born June 14, 1920 in Koppel, PA, son of the late Joseph G. and Amelia Marchionda. He was veteran of WWII serving twenty-eight years in the United States Air Force. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the Texas State Health Department as a supervisor in the drug department. Also, he helped his wife at Antique Shows.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Marchionda of Calhoun; sister, Anita Higgenbothom of San Antonio, TX; a sister in law, Carolynn Clines of Calhoun; a helpful and loving niece, Cynthia Clines; and an additional number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 30th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Father Louis Tonsmeire officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends on Monday an hour prior to the funeral.
