Renee Delores Watson

Renee Delores Watson, age 50 of Calhoun, went to her heavenly home on July 21, 2019 after battling Cerebral Palsy since birth. Renee was born on June 26, 1969 in Floyd County to the late William (Bill) Watson and Mary Carver Watson. Renee loved Jesus and was saved and baptized at the age of sixteen at Scottsville Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith. She was a 1989 graduate of Gordon Central High School where she was active in the Special Olympics. Renee loved life, music, and people and was always smiling. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Renee is survived by: her siblings, Hilda (Barry) Quarles, Eddie (Shannon) Howell, Ronald Watson, and Gena (Byron) Sutton. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 23rd at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Logan Sutton, Wesley Howell, Cody Howell, Matthew Sullivan, Shannon Quarles, Eddie Howell, Barry Quarles, Hawke Watson, and Justin Watson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 PM until the funeral hour at 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
