Mr. Rayble “R.C.” C. Carver, age 76, of Calhoun. Died Thursday evening December 27th at his residence following several months of declining health.
R.C. was born in Bartow County March 8, 1931. Son of the late Clyde Newton and Blanche Rogers Carver. Before moving to Calhoun he had lived in Cobb County where he worked for Lockheed for 13 years. He was a retired pipe fitter and was a member of the UA Local 766 in Rome. R.C. was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife Willie Jo Pruitt Carver. One daughter, Celia Kirby and her husband Ray. Two sisters, Hurlene Kinman and Marie Robbins and her husband Wesley. One grandson, Robert C. Pelfrey all of Calhoun. As well as a special friend Allan Lane of Armuchee.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday December 30th at 2PM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Don Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. With music being arranged by Randy Jones.
Pallbearers serving include, Bobby McDaniel, Herman Brock, Robert C. Pelfrey, Roy Bennett, Russell Bennett, and Ray D. Kirby.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 7 pm.
