Ray Whitley Brandon

Ray Whitley Brandon, age 73 of Calhoun, died Tuesday, January, 10, 2012 in Calhoun Health Care. Ray was born on June 13, 1938 in Floyd County. He was former pastor of East May Church of God and was a Deputy Sheriff for both Floyd and Chattooga County. Survivors include; his wife, Marjean Dobson Brandon of Calhoun. Two sons; Brian Gentry of Canton, GA, and Cary Gentry of Summerville,GA. Two daughters; Teresa Brown of Cleveland, TN, and Kimberly Stanfield of Calhoun, GA. One sister, Glenda Huston of Dayton, OH also survives. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 13th at 2:00p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Revs. Norris Sexton and Donnie Mattila officiating. Chaplin Jim Herman will have charge of music. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, January 12th from 6:00 - 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
