Randall Lamar Sloan, age 55, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday morning February 17th in Gordon Hospital.
Randall was born May 17, 1960 in Floyd County, son of Donald Sloan and the late Marisa Hudgins Sloan. He was a member of the True North Baptist Church and was employed at Mohawk for 28 years prior to his illness. Randall loved the outdoors golf, fishing and the History Channel.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Patricia Chappell; one son, Dawson Sloan; one daughter, Kaitlin Sloan; his sister, Alesia Peeler; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gloria and Curtis Chappell; uncles, Marshall Sloan and Ronnie Sloan; and aunts, Jayne Davis, Sandra Underwood and her husband Jimmy, and Claudette Davis and her husband Raymond.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 20th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Derrick Craig and Rev. James Wisener officiating. Honorary pallbearers will include; Brody Lancaster, Channey Lancaster, Nick Lancaster, Brian Brewer, Ray Brewer, Stephens Sanders, Anthony Murray, Don Harrison, Ronnie Sloan, and Marshall Sloan.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
