Ramona Elizabeth Gowens

Ramona Elizabeth Gowens, age 54, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 due to injuries sustained from an accident.

Born September 20, 1967, Ramona was a life-long resident of Calhoun, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Bob Hall and Roberta Alice Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Smith. 

Ramona was a graduate of Calhoun High School, class of 1986, and a dedicated employee of Shaw Industries and its predecessor company for over 30 years. She was a devout Christian and well-known for her passionate faith. Ramona’s optimism was contagious, and her zealous nature was most apparent in her love of traveling and eccentric parties. Ramona was a friend to all, and never faltered in her mission to be a living example of God’s unconditional love and light. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Ramona is survived by: her husband of 30 years, Anthony Gowens; daughter, Allison Gowens Rehklau and her husband Parker Rehklau; granddaughter, Iva Rehklau; two sisters, Roxanne Smith and Sonia Hall; and brother, Douglas Hall.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 12 PM until 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor DaRon Henson officiating.
