Ralph West

Ralph West, age 79 of Tucker, GA and formerly of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 in DeKalb Medical Center. Ralph was born on July 11, 1935 in Gordon County. He was the son of the late Clark West and Nellie Kate Jones West. He was an Army Ranger serving during the Korean Conflict, and prior to retirement worked as a Produce Manager for Publix. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Readith Pruitt West; and son, Pruitt West. He is survived by his two sons, Heinz West and Andy West both of Tucker; one daughter, Connie West of Tucker; sister, Dixie Godfrey; five grandchildren, Todd West, Seth West, Karly West, Clay West, and Tyler West; three great-grandchildren, Tanner West, Macie West and Rylan Peace. A Service to celebrate the life of Ralph West will be conducted on Saturday, September 13th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Parham Hammontree officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.
