Ralph Ardito, age 89 of Adairsville, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 19, 2013 in Gordon Hospital. Ralph was born on November 19, 1923 in Hamden, Connecticut. He was the son of the late Charlie Ardito and Marion Battelene Ardito. Ralph was retired from Lockheed Air Craft and was the owner of Ralph Ardito Ditching and Pipeline where he served the city of Smyrna for over 40 years as a contractor. He also served in the United States Army under General George S. Patton in WWII. Survivors include: two daughters, Rita Whitlock and her husband Bobby of Adairsville and Victoria Ardito of Calhoun; six grandsons, Tony Whitlock of Marietta, Robert Whitlock of Calhoun, Curtis Whitlock of Calhoun, Joey Whitlock of Calhoun, Jimmy Whitlock of Calhoun and Richard Whitlock of Calhoun; two granddaughters; and several great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, March 21st at 11:00am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Brent Smith officiating. Burial will follow after the funeral at 2:00pm in Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20th from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
