Polly Greeson

Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Polly Phillips Greeson, age 91 of Resaca died Tuesday in Redmond Regional Medical Center of Rome. Polly was born, March 11, 1917 in Gordon County, daughter of the late James Robert Phillips and Minnie Blackstock Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Baxter W. Greeson, February 27, 2000. She was a member of Resaca Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter. Carolyn Greeson Donaldson and her husband Harry; one grandson, Donny Donaldson all of Rome; and a special cousin, Eva Mae Roberts. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 22 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Harold Blackstock and Jack Culberson officiating. Joan Eggers will have charge of music and burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Resaca. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
