Peggy Sue McDougle

Peggy Sue McDougle, age 77 of the Union Grove Community, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Calhoun Health Care. Peggy was born on April 17, 1937 in Gordon County to the late Judson S. Smith and Mary Lay Smith. She was a member of the River View Drive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, J.B. Smith and brother-in-law, Charlie McDougle. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Terry McDougle of Adairsville; son, Richard A. Smith and his wife Melonie of Adairsville; daughter, Kathy King and her husband David of Calhoun; step-daughter, Donna Baker; brother, Hilbert Smith and his wife Shirleen of Calhoun; sister, Brenda Ralston of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Brenda McDougle; two grandchildren, Tiffany Gordon and Danielle Garland; one great-granddaughter, Marley Graham; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, April 6th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Harold Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include C.J. Dodd, Lyle Dean, Randall Jones, Wade Russell, Gerome Crump, Lynn Greeson, Mitchell Moss, David Higgins and Steve Nelson.
