Peggy Casey Mauldin

Peggy Casey Mauldin 65 of Calhoun passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Peggy was born in Albertville, Alabama and the family moved to Calhoun when she was 12 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl D and Jo Allen Casey and a daughter Sara Ashley Mauldin. She is survived by her husband H. Kemp Mauldin, son Daniel Kemp Mauldin and his wife Sara of Woodstock, GA daughter Mary Katherine Mauldin and husband Dan Rinenbach of New Orleans and two grandsons Archer Mauldin and Grayson Rinenbach. Her brother Earl “Butch” Casey and wife Ann of Calhoun and a sister Lea Ann Sentell of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Brother in law Laurence Daniel Mauldin of Calhoun and sister in law Lucia Mauldin Eastham and husband Gary of Calhoun. Peggy and Kemp were married for 45 years. Together always in life and work with no complaints. She was a good woman and a good wife and an amazing mother. She will be missed. A Memorial Service to honor the life of Peggy will be conducted on Thursday, January 11th at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the memorial service from 1 PM until the services at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in memory of Peggy may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Northwest Georgia at 1384 Self Lake Road, Fairmount, GA 30139.
