Pearlie Mae Stanley Fuller, age 92, of the Rock Creek Community died on Saturday, July 22nd at her residence.

 

Pearlie was born November 4, 1930, in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Robert Aronald Stanley and Edna Stanley. She was the oldest member of West Union Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years J.R. Fuller, Jr.

 

She was also preceded by her siblings, Beatrice Stanley, Leroy Stanley, Betty (Leroy) Bennett, Thelma Stanley Fuller, and Kenny Stanley.

 

Pearlie is survived by her children, Brenda Jones of the home, Wanda Burroughs (Kenneth Dobson) and Don “Cooley” Fuller all of Calhoun. Grandchildren, Tina and Anthony Garner of Ringgold, Mickey Jones and Anthony Burkes of Ponchatoula, La., Greg Jones and Bruce Bonney of Ringgold, Tim and Levetta Jones, of Ringgold, Amber and Chad Everett of Rome, Nico and Katherine Fuller of California, Beau Fuller of California, Rebecca Fuller and Jillian Fuller both of New Orleans. Great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Sammy Lloyd of Ringgold, Dani Everett of Rome, Autumn (Matthew) Whitaker of Calhoun, Shelby Jones of Ringgold, Allie Everett of Rome, and Ava Fuller of California. Great-great-grandchild, Cash Lloyd of Ringgold. Four sisters, Minnie Stiles of Calhoun, Pat Weeks of Calhoun, Linda and Freddie Magyari of Stark, Fl., Cheryl (Dwight) Brock of Resaca also survive.

 

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday July 26th at 11am from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Baptist Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers include Tommy Stanley, Barry Stanley, Brian Holt, Blake Green, Markus Pratt, and Sydney Sewell. Honorary pallbearers serving include K.M. Miller, Mike Benefield, and Jeff Miller.

 

The family wishes to send a special thanks to Homespun Hospice Nealey Reed, Lisa Beasley, Michelle Coleman, Shanna Butts and Tim Reid; Ladies from the church, also Phyllis Futch, Doyce Lynch, Melba Sewell, Wylene Gillespie, Mary Sterling, and Lois Roddy.

 

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening  July 25th from 5 until 8pm.
