Pauline E. Carroll

Mrs. Pauline E. Carroll, age 82 of Calhoun died at 9:30 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Gordon Health Care following and extended illness. She was born, September 5, 1928, in Fort Payne, Alabama, daughter of the late Gideon B. Maples and Lillian Barkley Maples. Also she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Janice Delores Carroll and granddaughter Regina Lee Carroll, a grandson, Brian Stansell, a brother, J. C. Maples, and two sisters Jennie Pate and Cora Lee Ensley. She was formerly employed at Wellco-Mannington Carpets and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Pauline is survived by two sons, Lonnie and Paul Carroll and a daughter, Linda Carroll all of Calhoun; one sister, Nell Ramsey of Rome; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13th at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Lamar Hand officiating. Wayne Headrick will have charge of music and burial will be in East View Cemetery of Adairsville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Ron and Frank Perone, Allen and Tracy Waddell, Shannon Camp, and Wayne Headrick. Honorary pallbearers are Big Jim Waddell, Gene Tanner, and Alvin Pate.
