Patty Jean Densmore, age 65, of Calhoun, passed away Saturday morning May 16th at her residence.
Patty was born June 16, 1949 in Bartow County, daughter of the late Robert H. Fletcher and Venita Stewart Fletcher. She was a member of the Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Past-President of the Calhoun American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Calhoun American Legion 40 &8 Ladies Cabanne, the Calhoun VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Calhoun Elketts, the Calhoun- Gordon County Ladies Golf League, the Fields Ferry Ladies Golf League, and was treasurer of the Empty Pockets Car Club.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Shane Densmore and her brother, Johnny Fletcher.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Alton “Al” Densmore, her daughter, Benita Ann Densmore, and a brother, Michael Fletcher and his wife Patricia all of Calhoun. Two nieces, Christy Brown and Suzanne Fletcher, two nephews, Jeremy Fletcher and Adam Fletcher also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday May 19th at 3pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hibberts and rev. Orville Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include; Lamar Mealor, Jerry Fuller, Tony Brown, Raymond Brown, Lamar Hicks, David Fowler, Bill Dempsey, and Donald Dempsey. Honorary pallbearers serving will include; members of the Calhoun Elketts, Calhoun VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Calhoun American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Fields Ferry Ladies Golf League, and the Calhoun-Gordon County Ladies Golf League.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9pm at the funeral home.
