Patti Jane Townsend

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 Mrs. Patti Jane Townsend age 69 of Fairmount. Died Monday evening February 22nd at Starcrest of Cartersville. Patti was born on June 18, 1940 daughter of the late J.W. and Lillian Henry Ratcliff. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oakman Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Maxell G. Townsend on Jan 21, 2005 and a brother Fred Ratcliff. Survivors include three sons; David Townsend and his wife Sandi of Fairmount, Randy Townsend and his wife Barbara of Fairmount and Maurice Townsend and his wife Sandi of Calhoun, a daughter; Karen Owens and her husband Jamey of Fairmount. Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral serevices will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Thursday Feb. 25th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ivey and Rev. Keith Gibson officiating. Interment will be in the Salacoa Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Chris Ratcliff , Sam Ratcliffe,Garrett Ratcliff, Billy Wilson,Rick Reed and Tony Judah and they are asked to meet at the funeral home ate 2:45 p.m. Thursday. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening. Brittany Miller and Hannah Gibson will have charge of the Music.
