Patrick Howard Sturgill

Patrick Howard Sturgill, age 64 of Calhoun, died Saturday November 7, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. Patrick was born in Blair, Kentucky, August 9, 1951, a son of the late Andrew Sturgill and Laura Young Sturgill. He was an avid sports fan; was formerly employed by Peachtree Assisted Living; and was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church Survivors include his wife Brenda Sturgill of Calhoun; one son, Jon Sturgill and his wife, JoAnna of Indianapolis; daughters, Shannon Chastain and her husband Pepsi of Calhoun Patricia Isenhower and her husband Warren of Rocky Face; Teresa Kelsey and Kelly Cowan both of Columbus, Indiana; two brothers, Bobby Sturgill and his wife Betty of Cumberland, Kentucky, Ray Young and his wife Donna of Baxter, Kentucky; sisters, Edith DeVenney and Glenith Barnett both of Tazwell, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren, Christoper, Carrigan, Melissa, R.J., Elizabeth, Asa, Kason, Josiah, Cody, Jordan, Afton, Kollin, Jager, Misty, Carson, and Carly; 2 great grandchildren; extra special friends, Jeanette McNeese and Carol Dockery. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 10 at the Hertiage Baptist Church with the Reverends Brent Davis and Toby Chastain officiating. Dorian Johnson will have charge of music, and burial will be in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Heritage Baptist Church Monday, November 9 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Pallbearers are Asa Isenhower, Cody Caldwell, Alex Ochoa, Jason Chastain, William Dockery, and Dudley Meadows. They are asked to meet at the church at 1:45 PM, Monday. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Eric Turner and staff, North Georgia Oncology, Heather Timms, and Amedysis Home Health Care.
