Patrick Black, age 41 of Calhoun, died Saturday, May 14 at Gordon Hospital following an unexpected illness.
Patrick was born, February 1, 1975 in Cobb County, son of Karen Black Haygood and the late Gary Wayne Haygood. He was recently employed by Foam Products of Calhoun and had lived in Gordon County 4 years.
He had resided in Cartersville before moving to Calhoun.
Patrick loved fishing and to his family was a “Giant Teddy-Bear”. He was a man with a big heart and though his life had done wrong to no one.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Haygood of Calhoun; one sister, Amy Kuykendall of Calhoun; nephews, Devon Jenkins of Calhoun, Blakeston Kuykendall of Kennesaw; niece, Taylor Farist-Myers of Cartersville; great niece, Kensleigh Myers of Cartersville; cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 17 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. Family members and friends will preside. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to offset final expenses.
