Patricia Ann Lenning

Patricia Ann “Pat” Lenning, age 81 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Gordon Hospital. Pat was born on March 27, 1936 in Gordon County to the late Baxter Lee DeFoor and Jewel Inez Robbins DeFoor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony DeFoor, Jack DeFoor and Johnson DeFoor. Prior to retirement, Pat, was the owner and operator of Pat’s Beauty Shop for more than 35 years. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. Pat is survived by her daughter, Fran Lenning of Calhoun; brother, Lloyd DeFoor and his wife Susan of Appling, GA; two sisters-in-law, Betty DeFoor and Beth DeFoor; six nieces and nephews, Kelly Poarch and her husband Chuck, Russell DeFoor and his wife Heather of Calhoun, Jere DeFoor and his wife Nancy of Crystal River, FL, Scott DeFoor and his wife Patti of Calhoun, John DeFoor and his wife Christina of Appling, GA, and Jeff DeFoor and his wife Christie of Appling, GA; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by a special caregiver, Anita Curtis. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Gordon Hosptial and Gordon Health Care for their kindness and loving care. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 6th at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Larry Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with John DeFoor, Jeff DeFoor, Russell DeFoor, Scott DeFoor, Jere DeFoor and Chuck Poarch serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
