Ottilie Theresa Norrell

Mrs. Theresa Norrell, 92, of Calhoun, died Thursday January 28th following several months of declining health. Mrs. Norrell was born in Atlanta on December 22, 1917 daughter of the late Claude Lemke, Sr. and Ruth Freeman Lemke. She worked for many years in the Corporate offices of Aetna Insurance Company. She spent the past 35 years of her life in Calhoun where her husband retired from the Harbison-Walker Company. Mrs. Norrell was a member of the Calhoun First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; Richard and Joyce Norrell of Blue Ridge; a daughter and son-inlaw; Joan and Phillip Brinsfield of Shallotte, N.C.; a sister, Bettie Parks of Covington, grandchildren, Scott and Susan Norrell of Woodstock, Susan and Joe Echols of Watkinsville, Ga. Jimmy Brinsfield of Maryland, Dale and Donna Brinsfield of Oak Ridge, North Carolina, Michael and Cindy Brinsfield of Shallotte, N.C.; Steven and Anita Brinsfield of Myrtle Beach N.C. and great-grandchildren; Ryan, Chloe, Logan and Lily Norrell, Jushua and Hannah Echols, Jonathan, Christopher and Jessica Brinsfield. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Morning Pointe of Calhoun where Mrs. Norrell lived since 2005, and the At Peace Hospice.
