Mrs. Opal J. Wable of Calhoun passed away on Saturday evening, March 23, 2013 at the home of her daughter, June Mills.
Opal was born, November 10, 1926 in Gordon County. She was the daughter of the late M.C. Sexton and Viola Couch Sexton. Also, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Wable on April 2, 1988. She had formerly worked at Springs Industries of Calhoun and was a member of the Belmont Baptist church.
She is survive d by one son, Jim Wable and his wife Sandra of Calhoun; one daughter, June Mills and her husband, Austin of Resaca; two brothers, Norris Sexton and his wife Wilma of Calhoun and Hershel Sexton and his wife Shelba of Calhoun; one sister, Jewell Kiser of Cartersville; 4 grandchildren, Jamie Mills, Crystle Black, Autumn Lewis, and Chris Wable; 5 great grandchildren, A.J. Mills, Cutter Black, Hayley Mills, Lil J. Mills and Dillon Lewis; and 2 great, great, grandchildren, Kaylee Mills and Tinley Mills.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 26 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. John Allen officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until 2:00 PM, Tuesday preceding the funeral service.
