Norris Farriba

Tuesday, August 10, 2010 Norris Clifton Farriba, age 84 of Calhoun died at 10:35 AM, Tuesday August 10, in Gordon Health Care following an extended illness. Norris was born July 1, 1926 in Dawson County, Georgia, but had been a resident of Gordon County since 1956. Norris served in the army as PFC in WWII from November 1944 to July 1946. He was the son of the late Arnold Corbett Farriba and Dolly Ingram Farriba. He was a retired supervisor from Inland Container. Mr. Farriba was also preceded in death by his daughter Lori Ann Causby and wife Daisy Fowler Farriba. Survivors include his three sons; Joe and his wife Tracy Farriba of Resaca, Alan Farriba of Bethlehem, and Kenneth and Gail Farriba of Calhoun; One son-in-law Roger Causby; Two brothers James Farriba of Ball Ground, Georgia and Clarence and Wanda Farriba of Garner, NC; Four grandchildren; Cliff, Kasey, Alex, and Kyle Farriba. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday August 12 at 7 PM in the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Jeff Rogers is in charge of the music. The family will recieve friends Thursday August 12 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home preceding the funeral. Internment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery.
