Newton Ernest Lawrence

Newton "The Wal-Mart Man" Ernest Lawrence, age 56 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.


Newton was born on March 16, 1965 in Terre Haute, IN, son of the late LaVern Lawrence and Phillis Eslinger Lawrence. In addition to his parents, Newton was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tessa Lawrence. He was a member of East Calhoun Church of God.
Survivors include: one son, Nathan Lawrence; one brother, John Lawrence; one sister, Frances Lawrence; special friend, Mark Hick; his four dogs, Pinto, Nat, CoCo, and Betty Lou; and two cats.

A private service will be held at a later date.
