Naomi Craig, age 92 of Dalton and formerly of the Fairmount Community, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Wooddale Health Care.
Naomi was born on October 7, 1921 in Pickens County. She was the daughter of the late William Pendley and Elizabeth Bennett Pendley. Naomi was a member of Fairmount First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward “E.L.” Norrell; her second husband, Frank Craig; two sisters, Onalee Pendley Dean and Ethel Pendley Burgess; and one brother, Denver Pendley.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Norrell and his wife Dorothy of Dalton; four brothers, Hollis Pendley of Lithiasprings, Jack Pendley of Douglasville, Paul Pendley of Douglasville, and Wayne Pendley of Woodruff, SC; one sister, Yvonne Leopard of Woodruff, SC; granddaughter, Danielle Norrell; and great-granddaughter, Adrea Norrell.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 8th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Futch and Rev. Steve Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral on Wednesday from 12 noon until 2:00pm.
