MRS. MYRTLE ELIZABETH REECE, AGE 88 OF CALHOUN PASSED A WAY THIS MORNING IN GORDON HOSPITAL.
SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE WHITE GRAVES BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE SHE ATTENDED FAITHFULLY UNTIL HEALTH ISSUES PREVENTED HER FROM GOING. SHE WAS A RETIRED POULTRY FARMER. AFTER RETIREMENT SHE INJOYED AND LOVED HER NEEDLE WORKING ESPECIALLY CROCHETING. SHE ALSON LOVED FLOWERS AND CARING FOR PLANTS.
DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JACK AND MANDY SILVERS WILSON. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, LONNIE D. REECE, STEP-SON AND HIS WIFE, L.D. AND MAUDIE REECE, A SISTER, ROSIE SWANSON, AND SEVEN BROTHERS, BILL , OSCAR, LEONARD, JIM, ANDREW, HENRY, AND ROBERT WILSON.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE A STEP-SON MAXWELL REECE AND WIFE DOROTHY, LEONARD REECE AND WIFE MARGARET, SIX STEP-GRANDCHILDREN, ELEVEN STEP-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, FIVE STEP-GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, AND SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS ALSO SERVIVE.
SERVICES FOR MRS. MYRTLE REECE WILL BE THURSDAY JUNE 14TH AT 11:00 AM IN THE CHAPEL OF THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WITH THE REV. ISSAC JOHNS OFFICIATING. INTERNMENT WILL FOLLOW IN THE CHANDLER CEMETARY.
VISITATION WILL BE WENSDAY AFTER 3:00 PM.
