Minnie Viola Lening

Minnie Viola Lening, age 101, died Friday morning February 11th at Calhoun Health Care. Mrs. Lening was born April 16, 1909 in Union County, Georgia. Daughter of the late Tom Fair and Mamie Cole Fair. She was a devoted homemaker and member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lening, a daughter, Claudia Parker, and a son, Burl "Dick" Lening. Four brothers, Berry, Luke, Babe, and Quinton Fair. Four sisters, Ethal Sloan, Pearl Quinn, Rosie Cochran, and Dollie Mae Hare. Survivor include five grandchildren; Ann Duvall, Katrina Santori, Gary Mealor, Alan Parker, and Fran Mattos. One brother, Richard Fair. Thirteen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. Graveside services will be conducted Friday February 11th at 4pm in Fain Cemetery. With Rev. William Roberts officiating. Pallbearers serving include; Alan Parker, Lester Duvall, Lester Duvall Jr., Jeffery Duvall, Cody Parks, and Buck Garrett.
