Minnie Hall Blackstock, age 67 of Resaca, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Piedmont Hosptial of Atlanta.
Minnie was born on August 8, 1948 in Gordon County, GA to the late Harrison Eugene Hall and Sarah Izene Caldwell Hall. She was a graduate of Calhoun High School Class of 1967. Minnie was a member of Resaca First Baptist Church and prior to her retirement worked as a dental assistant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon Hall, Herman Hall, and Ernest “Tubby” Hall; sister, Betty Jean Hall Hite; two brothers-in-law, Bo Stanley, and Clifford Hite; special aunt, Exie Victoria Hall; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, JC and Annie Sue Blackstock.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Harold Blackstock of Resaca; two sons, William Bryan Blackstock and his wife Carla of Resaca, and John Culley Blackstock of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Blackstock and her fiancé Casey Andrew Brooks of Resaca; brothers, Fred Nelson Hall and his wife Ann of Resaca; two sisters, Virginia Lee Stanley of Calhoun, and Edna Hall L’Abbe of Miramar Beach, FL; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Blackstock of Resaca, and Harvey Blackstock of Resaca; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Hall of Resaca, and Barbara Blackstock of Resaca; and two granddaughters, Emma Grace Blackstock, and Sarah Elizabeth Blackstock.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, April 15th at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Draper officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Randy Blackstock, Matthew Blackstock, Scott Hite, Josh Hall, Dr. Alan McHan, and Keith West.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
