Mildred Ovalene Taylor Pace "Aunt Weenie", age 87, of the Fairmount community. Pass away Sunday afternoon July 18th in Gordon Health Care Center. Aunt Weenie was born in Gordon County August 18, 1922. Daughter of the late Robert "Bob" Kelly and Magnolia Savannah Hyde Kelly. She was a member of the Fairmount Church of Christ and besides her parents was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Taylor in November 1996 and her second husband, H.D. Pace in February 2004. A sister and brother in law; Madelyn and Robert Hendrix as well as several aunts and uncles also preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister, Ruth Shellhorse and her husband John of Fairmount. A nephew, Johnny Shellhorse of Calhoun. Nieces; Glenda Morris, Mildred Loveless, and Brenda Cina all of Calhoun, Janet Marshall of Plainville, Debbie Anderson of Marietta, and Eloise Wright of Adairsville. Several great and great great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday July 20th from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Ministers Terry York and Ralph Wallin officiating. Minister Kent Bailey will have charge of the committal service. Burial will follow in the Ryo/Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Steve Brannon, Ray Buttrum, Bobby Mullinex, Mark Mullinex, Larry Rogers, Kenneth Lacey, and Hoyt Anderson. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Monday evening.
